Whats Wrong
Mum had just come into the room crying and in a soft voice, said that dad was squashed by a tractor fork down at the river. At first I wondered if mum was sure then my brother Jack ran in saying that there was an ambulance here, not knowing what happened. Then jack realised that dad was not in for lunch. He asked “has dad been in for his lunch break yet?†Nobody answered. Me and my brother raced into the bedroom and over to the window, as dad was put into the ambulance and driven away. Later that day, Jack, mum and I went to see how he was going as such and if he was going to be alright. The doctor said to mum that dad was in a serious condition but that he would be alright.  That very next day, the doc said told us that he would be able to go to rehab, to rehabilitate his legs and arms. 2 weeks later. Mum and I took dad to a rehabilitation centre in Sydney, where he had to stay for one year, where they would first rehabilitate his arms, then his legs. In 6 months dad will come home for a week, then we will take him back for more rehabilitation on his legs.
